What type of majors can you go into to become a registered dietitian?

What type of majors can you go into to become a registered dietitian?
I am currently a sophomore in high school and I am thinking about becoming a Dietician. I have researched some colleges with this major but I am not really finding any luck. I live in Indianapolis, Indiana and I was looking for a small college with this particular major. So far the only two I have found that I am really interested in are University of Cincinnati or maybe Purdue. (but its a big school) I have also found some good colleges that DO NOT have dietetics, but have majors either "Nutrition," or "Food Science." If I majored in one of those could I still become an RD? And If you know of any good small colleges close to Indiana with any of these majors that would help me alot! Thanks! : )

Miami University is relatively small, and they have a dietetics program. It is about an hour closer to Indianapolis than UC is. This link will take you to the description of the major: http://www.miami.muohio.edu/academics/majorsminors/majors/dietetics.cfm As for the other majors, it depends. Nutrition is likely just another name for the same major. Food science would not be a path to becoming an RD. It is actually more of a specialized engineering degree, and you would focus on actual food production and things like that. For both the nutrition and dietetics majors you must check that it is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education.

Cosplay help? (Again)?

Cosplay help? (Again)?
It seems like I've been asking a lot of questions about this stuff... oh well. Anyway, I was really late in the boat to go to my very first anime convention. I've already started planning out my cosplay. The only thing is... I don't know what to do. I have three (maybe four) characters I've narrowed it down to: Deidara from Naruto, L from Death Note (of course XD), Ritsuka from Loveless, or Itachi from Naruto. I'm not very sure about the Itachi cosplay, even though I love him to death. If I do a Naruto one, it's most likely going to be Deidara. But I've started thinking about doing Ritsuka, and right now, I really want to cosplay him. I've found a wig that looks pretty good, but I have no idea what outfit I would use for him. I want to do the school uniform, but I would have to have my friend make it for me, and it seemed easy enough. But since it's in two months from yesterday, I'm really nervous about the time and stuff. I would have to order the wig really soon, or else it won't get here on time, and I can't be 100% sure about the outfit until it's done. So I was wondering if I should risk it with Ritsuka, or take the easy way and do L, because I have the outfit, all I would need is the wig, which I found a pretty good one. And sorry that was so freaking long, but since this is my first anime convention ever, I'm really excited and want this to be as good as possible. And also, I was wondering how being the same person two or the full three days would be. I didn't know if I should do that or just cosplay for one day, since I can really only afford one costume. I'm really scared about ordering an outfit from Ebay, so I immediately crossed that option out. I'm probably overthinking this, but it's my first one ever... BQ: What was your first cosplay (if you have, that is) and what is your favorite memory with that cosplay? Oh! And the con is Anime Crossroads in Indianapolis, Indiana, from November 20-22. If by any chance anyone is going, you should so tell me. XD (Wow, this is really long... I'm sorry! DX) Wang Yao: I wanted to be Italy from Hetalia, but my friend claimed him as her bishie, so he's off limits. XD I was sad...

L is boring, if your going to go, go big or go home.

2
You should Try L, My friend did him for NDK here in Denver, but you could try Itachi. But L is the easiest, and good for a first timer

3
if you want to buy cosplay stuff you can go to cosplay magic prices usually range from 100-200 dollars though

4
I wouldn't suggest going as L as easy as it is, EVERYONE does it. It's considered noobish... Naruto is another one I wouldn't suggest, the hard core anime fans are likely to criticize your taste in anime. Loveless... I've heard of it, but never watched/read it. But I suppose I'd go with that one. My first cosplay was Nanao Ise from Bleach. 2nd was China from Hetalia 3rd was Kaname Kuran from Vampire Knight and the one I'm trying to get is Hungary from Hetalia. eeetoooo.... I'd try these sites for cosplay: hellocosplay.com milanoo.com cosplayfu.com cosplaymagic.com mooncostumes.com (course if you're good at sewing you could do it yourself) and don't be too afraid of ebay. There are some cosplay sites that are reliable and sell through ebay. That's where I'm getting my Hungary cosplay from. GOOD LUCK :) hope I helped!

5
you should go as deidara XD his cosplay is just a wig and cloak so ya... and you could stick your arms inside the cloak and pretend they are gone XP lol "death by suffocation!" bq: for my first cosplay i was larxene from organization XIII :P it was fun, cuz i had 5 other friends going as zexion, demyx, sora, roxas, and axel. my fave memory was the glomp game i played with a group of cosplayers :P and lots of people randomly came up from behind me and poked the antenna thingson my wig to see how they stuck up :P

6
I'd suggest against L. He's so overdone it's not even funny... Also, if you had said Naruto characters about a year ago, I would have recommended against those as well, but Naruto's been beaten out by Kuroshitsuji, Deathnote, and Hetalia recently, so I've seen a dramatic drop in Naruto cosplayers. So yeah. Go ahead and cosplay from Naruto. ^^ Also, ebay isn't that bad a site for cosplays. I buy all my wigs and outfits that I don't have the skills to make myself off there. I cosplay Soubi and bought my wig and jacket from ebay: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kabhUGSfmU Also, my Ritsuka got her ears off ebay (also her original tail, but she made the one you see in this movie). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nkp8xtUogm4 The top she made by gluing/sewing ribbon to a sweater she bought at goodwill. It looks really amazing. She also made the green shirt Ritsuka wears in episode 4, I believe, out of a shirt from goodwill that she cut up a little, and some red ribbon. http://www.cosplay.com/photo/1608083/ (just giving you a few ideas here, since you mentioned wanting to cosplay him XP) As for the Naruto cosplays, I suggest ordering here: http://www.animeniacs.com/index.php?action=catalog&search=Akatsaki (yeah, they spell it wrong. There are a lot of typos on the site) They carry the cheapest, good quality cosplays I've ever seen. Plus they're even further on sale because they're trying to clear out stock and make it a special-order service offered in-store only. In all, I recommend going for one of the two Naruto cosplays or Ritsuka. ^^ As for outfits, there's no rule saying you can't be the same thing all three days. I have friends who do that. It's honestly a lot easier than hauling around 3-6 cosplays like I do... If you're worried about being stinky, just shower everyday, wear lots of deodorant (and apply more later in the day) and febreeze the outfit before bed. Try to avoid perfumes and such, since many people are allergic to them. Email me if you have any more questions on cosplay. ^^ BQ: My first cosplay was Muraki Kazutaka from Yami no Matsuei. I have many, many great memories in this costume, but the one that stands out most was when two fangirls came up to me while I was ordering dinner and asked if they could get a picture of Muraki buying a burrito. It made my day... Also, I think a friend of mine (also into Naruto and Loveless XD) is going to that one, but I can't remember for sure where she lives... Pretty sure it's Indiana... If so, then that's the con she's going to. ^^ Edit: Another good Muraki cosplay memory just came to me! I was in an alternate outfit of his and hanging out with a guy dressed in his normal outfit when I saw a Dist walk by. I glanced at the other Muraki and asked "so... shall we make the coalition of fruity, white haired villains?" Resulting pic: https://www.t-mobilepictures.com/myalbum/photos/photo16/22/a1/2af79a0a6826__1253031504000.jpg That was the same day I also hung out with a rather large Hetalia group and claimed all their vital regions. >:3 God I love cosplaying Muraki...

7
DONT GO AS L so many people go as l or bb and it gets boring if you want to do a death note cosplay try mello and i like the deidara idea since its easy and most naruto cosplayers dont go as him from what i know

8
I think that something similar to this http://fc00.deviantart.com/fs31/f/2008/194/3/5/Cosplay_Ritsuka_Aoyagi_by_BunnyMayel.jpg You def. can't forget about the bandaid under your eye and the wrist wraps are a good touch. Hope I could help!

His first album named Souljaboytellem.com was released under Interscope Records on October 2, 2007.[4]

What is the best way to teach religious tolerance & freedom to other countries?
If children learn what they live, who is their major role model and influence in learning religious tolerance? Where can I find accurate statistics of how many Muslims, Christians, Catholics, Jews, Buddhists, and so on that reside n the USA? .In the world? Do you think that most people in America do not know the origins of other religions or simply do not care? What kind of reaction would Americans have if there was a publicized burning of Bibles or Torahs in Afghanistan, Pakistan or Iraq? Found on Wikipedia" - Muslims regard the Qur’an as the main miracle of Muhammad, as proof of his prophethood,[11] and as the culmination of a series of divine messages. These started, according to Islamic belief, with the messages revealed to Adam, regarded in Islam as the first prophet, and continued with the Suhuf Ibrahim (Scrolls of Abraham),[12] the Tawrat (Torah or Pentateuch) of Moses,[13][14] the Zabur (Tehillim or Book of Psalms) of David,[15][16] and the Injil (Gospel) of Jesus.[17][18][19] The Qur'an assumes familiarity with major narratives recounted in Jewish and Christian scriptures, summarizing some, dwelling at length on others, and, in some cases, presenting alternative accounts and interpretations of events.[20][21][22] The Qur'an describes itself as a book of guidance, sometimes offering detailed accounts of specific historical events, and often emphasizing the moral significance of an event over its narrative sequence.[23][24] What school that you know of teaches peace? We have to get rid of all the dumb rednecks first!

How about we knave other countries alone, and focus on fixing the broken one we live in. Everybody hates everybody here. We are falling apart at the seams. Why does everyone turn the blind eye to what's going on in their backyard to help people they don't even know, will never meet and probably don't care all that much about? How about we start helping our neighbors, communities, bringing the government back into check and let other countries deal with their own problems.

We need to make so many things mandatory in the education of our children. Religious and racial tolerance, respecting others, respecting nature and animals, open-mindedness...

As suggested in answer to an earlier question: The very best way to teach religious tolerance is to refrain from indoctrinating children with religion. In most countries such a policy can be expected to be met with fierce resistance by religious fundamentalists. Once the childhood indoctrination process is complete a balanced perspective on other religions is virtually impossible. The best that might be achieved in these circumstances is exposure of the general population to unfettered education. Once again one can expect vitriolic resistance from any religious sect that has managed to establish itself in a position of power and control through fear. Open access to information should be the goal. Education deserves a much higher priority than detonation. Billions spent on weapons would be better invested in improving rational information dissemination.

Can You Help With Questions About A Car Accident?

Can You Help With Questions About A Car Accident?
My daughter was hit from behind while driving her 07 yaris. Her vehicle was pushed approx. 38 ft. then hit a 9 in. curb with both front wheels & then traveled 6 more ft. & hit a fire hydrant. The hydrant is anchored 6 ft. deep so there was no 'give' when her car hit into it. The woman must have been traveling approx. 40 to 45 mph & the speed limit there is 30 mph. Our daughter was taken to the hospital that day & also 2 more times. Not only had she been in pain but started having panic attacks. She also became afraid to drive her car. Our son was taking her to her classes but he told her she had to 'make' herself drive because he couldn't keep taking her due to his school schedule. Our daughter still is seeing a doctor & on medication to try to help these attacks which the doctor diagnosed as Post Tramatic Stress Disorder. Our daughter is still experiencing to some degree these panic attacks but is trying terribly hard to 'get a grip' on this demon. Now she is also having her beautiful hair come out in chunks. I am trying to get bills covered by the other drivers ins. but I need to know should I also tell the other ins. company that our daughter is entitled to compansation for her pain & suffering? She is only 20, had always been active & bubbly & now seems so totally different. Can I handle this & tell the ins. company an amount our daughter will settle for besides all bills paid? Our daughter is under so much stress that she doesn't want to deal with this & begins to have rapid heartbeats & feels like she is going to die. How much should I ask the ins. company for just for our daughter besides the hospital & doctors bills paid. Can anyone give me an amount? Our daughter has already had all test incl. seeing a cardiologist. So what she is dealing with now are these panic attacks. I would like to take care of this without an attorney because our daughter just needs this behind her. We live in Indianapolis, Indiana. Thanks!

You may need to get an attorney on this... try to get some type of structured settlement for this so that the bills for the future can be covered. Most insurance companies like to settle and try to get it over with, too. But one never knows. Good luck and I am sorry to hear about her PTSD. == EDIT: If you do get a structured settlement on this (which requires a lawyer) you should structure it so you get cost of living adjustments and try to get lump sums for future costs, too, if possible. More importantly, do not ever factor it out once you get it... (see your settlement for a percentage of what your future payments would have been for today) So, make sure you have a financial advisor for it. Because most people do not know how to manage large sums of cash. I know, I work for an insurance company.

2
Pain and suffering money is part of the settlement deal. You are entitled to it, so ask for it. Never sign a release until you get what you think is fair.

3
are you crazy? you need to get a great lawyer. There are lawyers that will beg to take this case and they will get a lot more out of the ins company then you ever will.

4
I think that because you have a very good case, and if the police report says that it wasn't your daughters fault, you SHOULD consult an attorney. It's true that they'll take 1/3 of the money, but they can also ask for more money and you just leave everything to them. The consultation is always free. I don't like to deal with attorneys myself, but in some cases you have to. Also the other driver might turn around and sue you! Good luck.

5
joie, there are several issues you need to look at. First, dependent on where you live (not sure about Indiana law), you may have "no fault" insurance which typically pays for medical expenses up to a certain amount before you would seek payment from the other party's insurer. Second, you have to determine if the other person even has insurance, and if so, what the limits are. Third, you need to look at your own insurance policy to see if you have UM/UIM coverage and may be able to collect additional payment there.

6
Your insurance is going to try and pay out as little as possible. You might want to get a personal injury lawyer (not the cash-cow types with cheesy commercials) so that you can get the maximum amount possible. It might be limited to the guilty parties liability coverage.

7
get a good lawyer and get the person who hit her car from behind to pay for bills and this will also help u cause he will have to pay an extra amount that u can keep and try to get help for ur daughter

8
You should consult a local accident attorney. They will take this case on a contingency, which means that they take a percentage of the recovery. If you get nothing, they get nothing. It sounds like a good case. Liability is a slam dunk and damages are the only issue.

9
First as posted above sign off on nothing at this point; now while a lawyer may seem to cost more if they can obtain a larger settlement it may off set, that said If you like through out a number to the insurance company and see what number they come back with Just remember stress issues are very hard to define and diagnosis for insurance agency in relation to payout, so you may be shocked at the number the insurance company comes back with. If you do not like the number seek a free legal consultation on your case

10
I am so sorry for your daughter. I have felt like her since I had a heart attack. I hate to deal with lawyers, but they can look out for your daughters best interest. To be honest the lawyer will want to know what are the damage's to your daughter, and if there is enough to pursue a suit.

upscale suburban neighborhoods?

upscale suburban neighborhoods?
I'm looking for upscale, richy suburban neighborhoods and community near urban cities. Such asGreat Bear in Bushkill, Pennsylvania;Carmel in Indianapolis, Indiana; and Wellesley in Boston, Massachusetts. If you could give me a few more of these types od place it will be greatly appreicated. Me and my husband are newly weds and are fairly wealty. We do plan on having a few children so I would like the area to also have a good school district. I'd also like the area to be fairly "new". Ooh and one more thing we have 2 dogs so we would love to have a backyard so they could play and run around. If anyone could help us it'll be greatly appreciated!!Please and thank-you.

Call a Realtor. This is the kind of thing they do for a living. It would probably help if you could at least narrow down what state you want to live in before you start looking for a house. And have you considered where you and your husband are going to be working? Or do you just assume that once you find your house in your "upscale richy neighborhood", there'll automatically be two jobs there waiting for you? Because in the real world, it doesn't usually work that way. It's usually find job first, find house second.

What is something that you carry that makes you feel better.?
Alright, so... I've been feeling down lately, not for any particular reason just a down part of the season for me. It is so dark and Dingy here in Indianapolis, Indiana... It's been very cold and today was the only remote clear day for the past week. I need something that when I leave home to go somewhere whether it be work or school I will have something that will cheer me up. Something small that can fit into a pocket and it ( Or atleast I don't want it to run off of ) Electricity because it may zap me I mean if it is a good item sure I'll use it.. But can you refer me to a site that would sell something or things like little nik-naks I can carry around... I want something that I can think hey I'll be fine and I'll be home in no time. I will be leaving for London soon for a trip and I need something that I can pull out when I am feeling down from my trip. When I leave home alone I don't do well at all... I am the person who hates leaving home but loves to travel it's a win lose thing

Why don't you buy a nice ring? This way, you will always have it with you and when you feel a bit lonely for home, you can touch it, reassure yourself, and nobody else will ever know. My talisman is a diamond heart pendant, which my husband gave me for Christmas, many years ago. I only take it off for x-rays, MRI's, mammograms or surgery. I'm sure whatever you choose will serve you well. Good luck!!

[IF] If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you But make allowance for their doubting too, If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or being hated, don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise: If you can dream--and not make dreams your master, If you can think--and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools: If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breath a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!" If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with kings--nor lose the common touch, If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you; If all men count with you, but none too much, If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds' worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And--which is more--you'll be a Man, my son! --Rudyard Kipling

I carry Greek worry beads. It is a strand of beads that is in a circle like a bracelet, and when you worry or are stressed out you are supposed to move the beads back and forth while thinking of things that you love or make you happy. After doing it a time or two you forget what you were worried about =)

I'm a bit confused. What help do you need exactly? Somebody with a Yahoo ID called Chefy was asking for career advice on Yahoo Answers a few days ago. Perhaps you could try and get in touch. The Question is also under General-Careers & Employment.

Moving to Indiana... Location suggestions?

Moving to Indiana... Location suggestions?
We are moving to Indianapolis (or close to) in November of this year. My husband is going to attend IUPUI in the Winter. We currently live in downtown Seattle and are wondering what the comparison is. I am not sure where would be a good place to start looking. We make $150000 a year and we have a three year old. We want to make sure we are in a safe neighborhood with good school, lots of recreation and not sure how much we are looking at. Trying to budget. I really appreciate your help as am blindly looking at an unfamiliar map... LOL Thanks again!

Note - I'm VERY blunt but truthful. so here we go Downtown Indy and anywhere withing 4 to 5 miles from Monument Circle, with is the geographic center of the city - You get what you pay for. Most of downtown is gentrified and white and therefore expensive. Medium to high crime. Just outside of downtown are some of the worst neighborhoods in the city, Haughville(west - black), Brightwood(north-black), Little Mexico (east-hispanic), Mars-Tucky(south-white) Simply terrible neighborhoods. Avoid at all costs. Just being honest. NW side - Eagle Creek/Pike Township is nice, but expensive. Racially mixed but mainly white. Low to Medium crime. Eagle creek reservoir is perhaps the nice park in the city. Easy access to Northside shopping, witch is best in city. Schools are average to good. Zionsville is nice but very VERY expensive. North side - The meridian street corridor is full of very nice homes. North Side/Carmel is perhaps the nicest rich area in the city to live, but very VERY expensive. Best shopping in the whole city along the 86th street corridor. Schools are excellent, but packed. Very high traffic, the worst in the city. Low to Medium crime. High property taxes. NE side - Lawrence/Pendelton Pike corridor used to be nice, but black people have turned it into a high crime area. Avoid this area. Geist Reservoir and surrounding area is very VERY nice and has perhaps the best schools in the whole county, but its VERY VERY expensive. Easy access to North side shopping. Low crime in Geist, very High in Lawrence. High traffic. East side - Irvington/Warren Park is historic, racially mixed working class area. High crime. Below average schools. The further east you go, the nicer it gets. Washington square mall and area is ok shopping, but the north side is a short interstate hop away. You can do better, in my opinion. SE side - Semi rural area. You will see cornfields.95% white and therefore, very low crime and good schools. Lots of ranch style homes, low traffic, perhaps the least populated area of the city. You want room? Here is the place to live. South Side - My home, so I'm biased. In my opinion, the best place to live for the money in the city. 90% white, so low crime and average to nice homes. Low traffic, can get busy at rush hour, but its not too bad. Easily the best home value for your dollar in the whole city, bar none. Road/interstate system allows easy access to the whole city. Garfield Park is a very nice family park. Average to Good schools. Greenwood Park Mall area has the 2nd best shopping in the whole city. Greenwood is a nice area, middle class working area, most white, crime can be spotty but basically low. SW side - Just like the SE side of town, but its a little more of an industrial area, but pretty much the same as SW side of town. Typically, like the SE side of town, you don't hear much about this area of town. West side - Speedway used to be white, but once again, minorities have pushed in and the area is turning into crap. Like east side the further out you go, the nicer the area. Easily the worst shopping in the whole city, The mall's/area name is Lafayette Scare, and it earns that name for a reason. High crime. Poor schools. Airport is on this side of town, so you will hear planes.Further west you have Avon/Plainfield witch is most white middle class. Like east side, you can do better. Final Note - IUPUI is downtown and you can get downtown from anywhere in the city in 30 minutes or less even during rush hour. Parking sucks big time at IUPUI, just a warning. Welcome to Indy.

i live in a lovely neighborhood that has alot of nice people from my point of view and alot of people are moving but the neighborhood is nice and quiet. indianapolis, indiana throughbread acres and its right next to a elementry school which is the one i went to. also im in pike township

3
Wow, I like the blunt response equating "all white" with "low crime." I live downtown and would not live anywhere else, but I also do not have children so do not know about the schools (all the schools in Indianapolis seem to get complaints). There are parks and fun things to do downtown (such as the canal -- kids love it).

To All the ARTISTS in the RHH section...How are things going your way musically?
I know we have some VERY TALENTED individuals on this site. So tell us all how things are going for you in your hometown. Are you selling out local bars and clubs?....Are you participating in underground club battles....do you perform at High School Talent shows?.....Do you poets do any spoken words at jazz spots? Some of you who answer these questions write very well, are you writing for a school paper?.... Anything...if your doing it...let the RHH community know..... I myself perform regionally in the Indianapolis, Indiana area. If your familiar with the area you can catch a show at Have A Nice Day Cafe, Club Spin, among other venues. I am also a well known producer in the area...and I organize a hip hop class for the youth in the west suburb....How about you? LAZARUS....after all the love....lol...you call me out like that....we can make sumthing real quick....I mean ...I step away from lunch...and this is what I get....disrespected like that...I know I'm a newbie....but damn fam...I dont even battle but you aint about to call me out...Lets GO!!!!!!....lol Right on Fam..... In the recording process right now, We've got a few shows lined up but we're still getting ready for them I've been producing some stuff for local kats, and I slay kids in battles on the regular. Oh and I will slay you any day beautiful! If that's how you battle man I gotta call it wack! even if a train was comin I wouldn't put you on a track. cause you got no flow I know you don't flow. you couldn't get a gal inside your studio. You claim you're up in it but dog we all know. a studio apartment is where you really go. so next time you claim that your the king.... make sure it's something worth spittin' that you bring.

Me and my group are local as well (Florida) We do the occasional Clubs and what not, but right now we are having a major set back since our producer had a heart attack so things have been kinda tough, but latley we have been competiting in local and state rap battles. so things are pretty good.

Well I write about music. I go to school for journalism and music, in an unacclaimed major I like to call music publication lol...I get to meet amazing artist and musicians. I most interview rappers. Famous and underground rappers from everywhere. It allows me to travel and do what I love to do best which is write and listen to music...So hopefully someone from RHH will get some famous and I'll get to interview them someday lol

I did go to a high school poetry slam and won third place with my piece. I am a member on a hip hop forum and that's enough for me. Met some chill cats on that site... Influenced me to start MC-ing and producing (i JUST started january second) The best MC-ing i've done so far is for my english genocide unit- a song I wrote and recorded myself (link: http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=SoulPoet3) My beat-making link is www.soundclick.com/djnextgeneration And I just started writing for a start-up hip hop magazine in my area. It's online till we get funds. and... just to appease my friends, i sometimes do rap battles with them, even though I hear stuff like "you're bad/ i'm better than rad/ you're not good/ i am very hood" coming at me. :D but i actually held the championship for text battling for about a month

Tryna get nice with this MPC in my spare time...but hopefully I will be able to work my way into the studio again...This time not as a on looker but as the producer...lol

Wow, that's a pretty tough situation you have on your shoulders. I hope you don't think it's your fault their breaking up. Couples break up all the time, but they can also stay good friends. I would think that your mom's boyfriend would be supportive and help out until your mom gets things together. If he doesn't do that then I would most definitely move back to Indiana because you never know, your old friends might remember you and it's always lovely to be close to family. I really hope things work out for you, your brothers, and your mom. *Best of luck*

2
if all of you want to stay in seattle. there are ways! depends how close you all are and don't hold your pride too high.there is help out there. church, state and maybe your mom may need to get a 2nd job. but just know that anything can happen if you want it bad enough. and don't let pride get in your way.

Can you give me any information on the quality of life in Indianapolis (zip code 46260 area)?

Can you give me any information on the quality of life in Indianapolis (zip code 46260 area)?
Hi, there. My husband and I are considering relocating to Indianapolis (46260 area) from Tallahassee, FL. My stepson has recently gone to live with his mother there, hence the attraction. He appears to be enjoying the school, neighbors, etc., and we have visited once. All I really saw was a few overpasses as we got off the interstate and then her apartment complex. From what little I did see, I was not impressed with the area where she lives in particular. I felt unsafe just getting out of my car in the parking lot. There were lots of young men hanging around with nothing to do. I realize Indianapolis is a lot bigger than Tallahassee by far in population and land area. The size of Indianapolis seems daunting to me compared to what we are used to. Additionally, we have never even seen snow, much less had to drive in it. My son has not had his first winter there, yet, so even he does not know what to expect yet. Any suggestions, comments you can make about that area of Indy, etc. are welcome. We are concerned about the usual - safety, employment options, etc. My husband and I are both bilingual (English/Spanish). I currently work in Florida Pre-K and am finishing my degree for elementary education this year. I don't know how to even go about getting teacher certification in Indiana. My husband works construction and worries about how much work would be available during the winter months. We are still debating about making the move up there because it is so different. Thank you for your input. Best Wishes, Carren

Indianapolis is a big place. It also has a lot of crime. Most newer additions just outside of Indianapolis are really nice. Greenwood would be a place I'd recommend. Bloomington is a nice, beautiful, college town just 45 minutes south of Indianapolis. Construction is booming and a bi-lingual could get a job at the hospital and/ or school system without a doubt. We also have a very nice Ivy Tech School here which usually has a full-house of students. Indiana does have snow...sometimes a lot, sometimes hardly any. We have the kind of equipment that usually keeps up with it making our roadways safe to drive. Eleven miles south of Bloomington is a large Monroe Lake if you like water sports, a beach, boating, or fishing. We have brand new Rails to Trails for walking, jogging, or biking. We have all the options of Broadway Plays, Entertainers, and Sports because of Indiana University, a lovely campus. John Mellencamp lives here too. Give Bloomington a try before you decide.

Indianapolis is great! There is so much to do here, and personally I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. I checked out the zip code you gave (46260), and it looks to be in a really good area, just south of Carmel and Zionsville on the north side. While I do personally live on the south side, I have relatives and friends who live up there and I myself have visited and it really is a great place to live. Getting a job should be no problem at all for either construction or teaching, as both jobs are fruitful in Indy, and the fact that you personally are bilingual will make you an even better target for employment considering the rising amount of Hispanic and Spanish-speakers living in the area. We have a great governor, Mitch Daniels, who in light of the recent recession has kept our unemployment rates fairly low compared to the rest of the nation. As for snow, haha, I figure that would be more of an exciting thing than a frightening one, as the efficiency of our "plowers" is so good you could have a 12-inch snow in the night and have the roads cleared by sunrise! :] Good luck with your house hunting and I hope I could help.

If you want to be a teacher, do not go with public school system, they're cutting back. See, they just build a shiny new stadium for the colts football and now don't know how to pay for it and can't get more $ from the colts. So, trickle down to school jobs... South side is nice ( 46227) northside (46250) alot more zips than that though. No matter where you live like anywhere, crime can travel.

4
i live in 46038 (fishers) and i love it here. everything is less then 10 minuets away. HSE has some of the best schools in America and is always hiring for the ever expanding school system. its a great environment, no real bad crime, and tons of fun activities year round. I would definitely try to check out Hamilton county, the best in all of Indiana.

GED for IN?

GED for IN?
I live in Indianapolis, Indiana. I am 15 years old and completely HATE highschool. I go to a school with about 6000 students. They are totally strict because a lot of bad things have happened there recently. The teachers dont know anything and yell at you. They say things that in elementary school were completely wrong. Its like theres nothing they can do wrong to the students. I got sick half way in my freshman year. Like deathly sick where they thought I had cancer. My own conselor parents doctor and teacher thought I had school phobia? seriously? what? but it was just that I had so much work to do in certain times and the teaches would complain. I couldnt do it. So going back this sophmore year I will have alot of freshman classes. Is it possible for me to get my GED being sophmore 15 in Indianapolis. My parents cant move and theres no other school. Im so stressin.

Sry the sad truth is you must wait til you reach the age of 16 to start GED classes and most programs make you wait unti you are 18 or your age group has graduated.... if its that bad and you physically are suffering from school you should really insist on continueing your education at home with a home-school program. The only problem is if you decide to go to college it will be very hard for you with out all the proper knowledge of your basics. And lets face it, cllege is the only way to make it in todays world if you dont want to live on welfare.

Don't get a GED, graduate normally

I want to launch a voluntary "Cleaning Our City" campaign. Where to start?

I want to launch a voluntary "Cleaning Our City" campaign. Where to start?
I'm going into high school next year, and I just read on Yahoo! that the almighty US is doing very poorly in keeping it's cities clean. I live in Indianapolis, Indiana. I want to start something where I can put flyers up in my school and urge kids to come and help clean up things like trash around the highways. I don't want to volunteer anywhere, because I want to start my own campaign. All I want is for me, and kids from my high school (Or if I get bigger than I anticipate..) other kids from other local schools can help to walk around the downtown city and highways of Indianapolis. I would have friends with trucks park near so we can put the trash bags and large trash like tires in the back. I am very proud to be from Indianapolis, and I would be even prouder to be here when it's cleaner. I think I'll talk to my high school counselor about it, and she'll/he'll tell me where to start. I want to know who to contact, I want the city to know we're out here wandering around cleaning. Should I write a letter or email or call? And who? Thanks so much for reading!!! I will really appreciate it if you help me!

I would start with the Marion County Department of Health- I only know of one person there - and it's an indirect contact so I have never met him: Bill Messick - he is part of Healthy Homes Resource Liaison Housing and Neighborhood Health. 317.221.3135. If he cannot get you started maybe he can put you in touch with someone who can. Good luck

Bloomington is also a fun option. A college town has lots to offer on New Year's, including a cool band, Robert Bradley's Blackwater Surprise, at the Bluebird, a local legendary nightclub.

Want to move to California - need advice!

Want to move to California - need advice!
I am 22 years old, and a professional graphic designer and web developer. I live in Indianapolis, Indiana, and I will be completing my degree in graphic design soon. I nailed an extremely high-paying design job straight out of high school, but I don't feel like I belong in Indiana. I am attracted to the night life, big city, and affluence for design and a liberal way of thinking. I will probably save for 1-2 years, then plan on moving out to California. I was thinking San Diego or SF, LA, or some other metro. What are some things I should consider, anything I should look for in particular, and can I survive on a designers salary out there? I want to start a new life in California.

Just go. You already know you will be going. You can't find a place to live long-distance so budget for a hotel for 4 days. talk to other tenants before signing an apartment lease. They will tell you the good and the bad. Then start your new life. /

2
Before moving and giving up such a high paying job, come here for a 1-2 week vacation then if this is the place for you, make sure you have a job before coming back to live. California is very expensive especially so for a single person. Rent for a decent apartment in a low crime area is going to cost you approximately $1250-2500 per month. Can you survive on a designer's salary, that depends on how much you make (at your new job here) where you want to live and the food you want to buy. Crunch the numbers, count the cost first.

Parts of Indianapolis are very good; other parts are not so good. The suburbs around Indianapolis are generally good places to live, but some are expensive. Citizens Gas has a Winter Assistance fund for people who cannot pay their gas bill in the winter. There may also be state assistance (EAP) for energy bills for low income people Sometimes financial help is available from the township trustee. However, I would recommend that you find a place to live where you can stay within your budget after you find a job. Check CareerBuilder, Monster.com, SnagAJob, etc. web sites for information about jobs in Indianapolis.

Hi! I am currently living in Indianapolis. It is a very beautiful city. It is a city though, and not great for a family to grow in. Mostly because of the Indianapolis Public Schools. I moved to Indy from Columbus, Indiana. There are a million job openings there. It was ranked high (No. 10) on the best cities for a small family to live. It also is a very clean city! The schools are excellent. All of them! Elementary, Middle, and High schools are very advanced. It is 30-45 minutes south of Indy and about an hour north of Louisville. I cannot wait until my Fiance is finished with his degree so we could move back there and raise our baby! Hope this helps!

Should I live in Austin or Dallas?

Should I live in Austin or Dallas?
I have a new opportunity to take a job in TX. I now live in Indianapolis, IN and can choose between Austin and Dallas. My wife and I are 36 and have 2 kids in Jr high and 1 in elementary. We live a fairly active lifestyle and enjoy outdoor activities. We spend a fair amount of time biking, hiking, boating, camping, etc. We tend to be pretty social as well, so we'll definately be searching out local night-life activities. Having lived in Indiana my whole life, I would like to settle in a place that has some topographical diversity. We value education, so local school performance will likely drive our decision as well. Austin for sure! Austin is an amazing city with so much to do. It is a great place to raise a family. It is a very outdoorsy city with lake, bike paths, camping, etc. It is the live music capital of the world! I think Austin can't be beat.

2
I would say Dallas, because Austin has a lot of liberals, from what I've heard. I have not lived it Texas, but I lived in Oregon and Austin sounds like Portand, which is a liberal scumhole, in my opinion.

3
Dallas is much better. Austin is infested with Liberals

4
Austin definately, much better activities and "topographical diversity". Otherwise both are quite similar.

5
Austin is one of the coolest cities you will find. I've been to both and like it much better than Dallas. There are resources on the web to check on schools and varied other things. If you visit the two, I would be shocked if you did not find Austin the more interesting place for a home.

6
Austin!!

7
Austin! It's the live music capital of Texas. Plus, there is a lot of topographical diversity in the Hill Country. Lots of mountain biking, there's a cool lake in the middle of the city with restaurants on the shore and you can dock your boat and get out to eat, bike lanes on the city streets and you can also go hiking. Whole Foods Market was started in Austin and they have a huge store down there. Then there is Zilker park, Austin City Limits concerts, South by Southwest Music Fest, the list goes on! Dallas is flat and flatter. There are also too many conservatives.

Pre-med & Med School Questions?

Pre-med & Med School Questions?
I am currently a second semester freshman at IUPUI in Indianapolis, and my major is currently Biology. I am also setting myself up for a Chemistry degree, if I want to switch or even double. I plan on a transfer either to Indiana Univ. or to Ball State Univ. later on in 2009-10. But I am also open to any other schools. My goal is obviously Med School, and I am currently aiming to be an Anesthesiologist. I just had a few questions that I can't find answers to, and wanted some help: 1. Are the degrees I am going for going to help/hurt/ or don't really matter when I apply? 2. Does a degree from a non-traditional school like IUPUI hurt me on an application. 3. What type of volunteer or internship jobs should/can I do? 4. Practice MCATs, where can I take them, how can I study. I want to do better than my best basically. 5. Finally, where should I go for med school? As far as my career goal to what school has the best or most renowed program for that career path?

Honestly you can get into medical school with any degree, and in some cases, without even getting a degree. Each medical school has prerequisites to apply. Most require a year of general chemistry with lab, a year of physics with lab, a year of organic chemistry with lab, 1 or 2 years of biology with lab, some english, a year of math etc. Search for certain med schools and look at their requirements. Also, having a science degree doesn't make your chances of getting in that much higher, because they do want some diversity in degrees...but, a major in chemistry or biochemistry will give you a better background and make you more equipped for medical school classes. As for volunteering, anything and everything. Hospital hours are extremely important, also if you can, shadow a doctor. You should hope to have hundreds of volunteer hours and if you can work in a research lab, you should do that as well. As for practice MCATs, most universities have a pre-med club and these clubs often organize practice MCAT's. If not, you can buy study materials or practice tests online or at places like Barnes and Noble. As to med school, you should apply to as many med schools as you can because it seems that more and more people are getting rejected the first time they apply and they have to go back to get a masters and then apply again. So basically, go wherever you get in and if you get into more than one, look at factors like cost and how good their program and reputation is. Good luck

i will be starting school this fall and plan on being a full time student, i have two small children and sadly don't plan on working and can no longer stay with my mother and i do not understand how low income housing works so if you understand it please explain it me ! i,e i live in indianapolis indiana if that helps at all

It will not work for you anyway. Public housing can not be used as student housing. You have to WORK to have low income. A job is required unless you are disabled and collecting social security. You can use student grants and student loans to pay for housing while in school.

2
In Maryland to live in income based rent you have to be employed. Basically they take your gross pay, and how many dependants you have and that will determine how much rent you pay. If you are single I believe it's 30% of your monthly income. You need to check into Sectuin 8 Housing.

What do you think about Same-sex Relationships?
"The Children are Free" By Rev. Jeff and John Tyler Connoley If you are confused by all the misinformation about homosexuality and the Bible, read this book. Rev. Jeff Miner is the pastor of Jesus Metropolitan Community Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. John Tyler Connoly completed a Masters in Biblical Studies at Earlham School of Religion. I believe in Sam-sex Relationships. I love all of God's children. God loves all of His children. Please attend a Metropolitan Community Church near you. 2
Make no mistake about it. It is sinful and immoral and defies both the laws of God and nature. God made Adam and Eve not Eve and Geneveve. Peace and God bless.

3
Was this a question or an advertisement?

4
God does love all his children but He hates their sin. And I am not at all confused about God's word on homosexuality. It's in the same sentence with thieves and murderers and it's an abomination in the sight of GOD.Your "pastor" (and there are many like him) may have all the degrees in the world but he's following Satan, not God. Your cult can believe what you want but sin is sin, no matter what you want to call it. And the wages of sin is death. I understand that word in the Bible too. God tells us to not add one word or omit one word of the Bible. Your cult is spinning your lives into the ditch!

5
I do not attempt to promote heterosexual issues and you should not attempt to promoted gay issues. We live in a free society and it allows us choice... but I can't recall the last time I saw a Heterosexual Rights March....

6
Of course god loves all his children, if two dudes want to be together, thats their business, but when you start with wanting marriage, NO WAY...thats an institution that is the best device for advancing modern civilization. The disrespect of the sacred union of a man and a woman is in no small part responsible for the dis-array of society today. "Gay" activists yell HOMOPHOBE when any state wants to protect marriage...but NAMBLA is almost all gay pride parades, and "poly-amorous" relationships are discussed as viable life choices on day time talk shows. Do what you will of your life, but I (and many others like me) will fight you vehemently for the "mainstreaming" of WRONG behavior. No gay marriage No man-boy love No poly-ammorous unions

7
I have no serious objections. However I raise the following question. Suppose you have screw driver. You use it to drive a screw normally. Will you ever use it as a nail or screw? Will you ever use a screw to perform the function of a screw driver? No you will not? Why? Since a screw driver is designed for a purpose so is screw. You can never reverse their functions. Please also note in this entire nature there are ordered pairs to deliver masculine and feminine functions. This is meant to keep the process of procreation going. We have already paid a heavy price for playing with ecology. Should you start a new experiment and find out after another 200 years that we have caused an irreparable damage to the mankind? Give it a thought.

8
you are a sick individual!!!! no way would i have sex with a man!!!! women are for men only!!!! i think it may be a little awkwards to do this sick stunt but you have the right to see anyone you choose i suppose but it is morally wrong!!!! by the way what is wrong with you loving a man?

9
I make no judgments on anyone, I agree, I too love all God's children, and wish you all the best.

10
I think that we love who we love. And if they make you happy and furfill all of your needs then who are we to judge. I know that alot of people will tell you that it is wrong and that the bible tells you that it is wrong. But how can a God that loves all his children condem you to hell for love. When he himself preaches of love? I am straight and have family members who are gay I feel the same about them now as I did before I knew. They are the same they only love different then I. And to be honest there are times when I get frustrated with my husband and wonder how it would be to be with a woman? After all women understand one another better than a man and a woman. I've never pursued that feeling though. Because I love my husband and I know that it was only anger talking at the time. But I say be who you are and love who you love and if people or friends or family can't accept that then they never truly loved you or understood you. They don't live your life. You do. And for now you are the only one who has to answer to your self. And when this earth is through and you meet your maker he will judge you as he sees fit. Not as everyone else sees it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

11
I say let them live their life the way they want to. I do not think it is a illness I think it is just a part of life for them. No one tells me how to live my life why should I tell anyone how to live theirs.

12
they dont bother me.but a church that allows it its not a church i want to be part of

13
IT DON'T BOTHER ME MY SISTER IS A LESBIAN AND I'M SURE I WILL SEE HER IN HEAVEN

I've read his book, explored his website and the parent church's website (MCC). He does an excellent job of using his skills as an attorney for 13 years to manipulate the sacred text of the bible in an effort to condone what he chooses sexually. To the average lay person that isn't educated deeply into the scriptures, he gives an excellent sales presentation that would easily fool. However, to the educated, the errors are obvious (eg. errors or obvious liberalities with translating Koine Greek). I'm not fooled, and his is definitely not a church. Does God love him and all those who are gay? Absolutely, he loves all of his children! Does He approve of this? Absolutely not. I wish you no harm, and no....I do not hate you or him. Just defending truth.

Trying to Sell something on Ebay. HELP?

Trying to Sell something on Ebay. HELP?
Okay I have everything done pretty much. Well I am selling 4 high school musical shirts. Ummmm, I am from Indianapolis, Indiana. I know when you place a bid it allready says someone's shipping cost on it. So how do I know how much it is for shipping. Because I dont want to charge them less and I have to pay for more. PLEASE HELP! I mean it's not like I know what person from what state will by it please please please HELP!

don't post the ad yet, go down to the post office with one of the shirts packaged as you would send them, and ask how much it would cost to send to anywhere in the US. Do not post international, it's too much hassle. Use the price you are given at the post office. Or look at other people selling t-shirts within the US and charge what they charge. Good luck!

2
There's a couple of things you can do. You can say, "shipping costs to be determined after auction" that way you can determine how much. You can guess at a cost, thats what I do. I overestimate a little bit. You can also get ebay to calculate a shipping cost based on the weight of the package. Therefore the cost will always be somewhat accurate depending on the person's zipcode. Goodluck.

3
Most people on Ebay just guess, if you over charge a dollar or two no one will complain and try to get the money back. Remember, when people bid they are agreeing to your terms and conditions on the shipping. If your really concerned go to the post office with the shirts and have them weighed, find a box that fits them, and then you can ask how much it would cost to ship them to anywhere in the US via regular mail, priority, etc.. It should cost the same no matter what state your shipping out to. For your own protection its usually worth spending the extra dollar on package tracking as well so you can make sure it gets there and have the evidence to prove it should there be a problem. Something else you can try, find a website that sells t-shirts, put 4 of them in your shopping cart and have the website calculate the shipping on the order for you. This should be pretty close to what you will pay to ship your shirts. Hope this helps!

Beth Hardwick from New Castle, Indiana?
I am looking for a girl named Beth Hardwick, although I'm sure her name has changed by now. I went to school with her about 6 years ago at IUPUI in Indianapolis. I had Sociology R-100 with her. She was pregnant at the time. She was awesome artist, and she drew me a picture of a snail. The address she gave me was when she was living in New Castle, Indiana. If you are Beth, or you know Beth, please contact me! Thanks!

Carmel, just outside the belt highway on the north side.

2
Carmel and Fishers. They both have really nice neighborhoods and the schools are good.

3
I lived in Indianapolis for three years. I would recommend the Broadripple area for a young family like yours. However, I don't know a lot about the school system there.

4
mooresville

5
I lived in Noblesville and Fishers. I would choose Fishers by far. It's wonderful here. I like the schools here, and the neighbors are nice. fishers in in Hamilton County and about a 20 minute commute to Indianapolis. If you choose to move to Indianapolis, make sure you pick a good part of Indy, some areas are very rough.

6
Why not Greenwood or Johnson county to be closer to your mom?

7
Columbus, just a few miles south of Indianapolis. It has great schools and the people are friendly! I lived there five years!Nice clean town!

8
Indianapolis is a ghetto dump. IPS is horrid!! Hendricks County is okay. Morgan County is really pretty and I think Johnson County (Greenwood) is so congested it isnt even fun to be there. Mooresville has good schools and so does Plainfield and Carmel-Clay schools are supposed to be good.

9
Shelbyville, if you like the country. Or, Broadripple.

What's so great about the state of Indiana?

What's so great about the state of Indiana?
No offense to those who live here, but I hate this place. I moved here a year ago and you'd think it would grow on me by now, but it just sucks. It's probably just the town I live in because its so small. The nearest cities (Richmond, Muncie) are considered big to the town im in. They're small and boring too. All Indiana has that I know of is Indianapolis, which is too far away from me to matter. I miss Ohio. This state has weird laws and rules in school that are completely different than what im used to. My life was ruined when I moved here and I cant wait for another year to go by so I can move out. ughhh sorry. i needed to vent. so dont be angry. You'd hate it too if you were 17, taken away from family, boyfriend youve had for 2 years, church and friends, and your home and pets to be placed in the middle of corn fields with dramatic pricks at school. I havent made one friend. Ive been nice, invited ppl over and im usually a friendly person whos easy to getalong with. But no one here will accept me because im new and they already have their friends. it really sucks. I want out.

To me it sounds like that you are out in the woods or in a rural area. If you are then it is hard to do much if you live away form anything that is fun. Rural areas are not to be compared t the city goers at all, if you were near Indy or a college town you would make fiend's if they were close to you. I have been to missouri and lived and did not like it there either because we lived out in a rural area.I lived in Indy most of my life and then went to Hawaii and Guam I did not like either of them . Perhaps you need to join a church group or school group and make some friends that way. Some times it takes time and you have to make the best of what you have. I find the people in Indiana quite hospitable for the most part and yes you will have a few snobs but I have been to much worse places then Indiana. Maybe time to see if you need to change in some ways. If you came from a large town or city there is a huge difference then living in the suburbs where it is not so busy. Some people have a hard time making new friends and it can be rough. Hang in there it will get better maybe you moved under bad circumstances and have a bad attitude you are not aware of. Feel free to vent email me and rant and rave or rant here but do not expect a ot of good answers or chat. To the person who said why does Pat get so many thumbs up and so on I have over twenty contacts that do vote for me as well I for them. I have been here for two years and try to give good answers if they think I do they vote that is what it is about. Get some fans on here and try it.

2
**wonders why Pat (above me) gets so many thumbs up when there are only 2 posts on this so far** I think he has several accounts and thumbs up himself! I live in Indianapolis and you are correct. When you are young it is not a great place to live. As you age, its good because you don't look for exciting things to do anymore. You just want to get from work to home within a reasonable amount of time.

3
Try not to get to upset with this but…you’re 17 you are going to hate everything in life. I have a 16 year old niece that hates everything too. There’s a saying, you get out of it what you put into it. If you hate someplace or thing just “because” then you probably will always hate it. You moved here from Ohio and hate it and laws and rules, you were vague here so don’t know what you are talking about, but think of it this way what if someone moved to your hometown? Do you think they would just love it at first sight? Probably not. Everything would be different to them just as it is to you moving to Indiana. You say your life is ruined, well I got news for you, moving isn't going to ruin your life and if a simple move to another state ruined your life then you are going to have serious trouble later on when real life problems confront you. My niece has lived in a bunch of different places and she hated all of them, so your life problem isn’t any different than any other teenager. If you take a I hate it attitude you probably will have troubles making friends. I know I would have trouble making friends with people who talk about how they hate it here by putting down their town and culture so to speak. You say you want out at the end of your post, are you going to want out every time life throws you a little curveball? At some point you will just have to tough if out. Remember no matter what someone puts on here or what gets voted the best answer you must chose which is the real best answer, if any.

Who is this person? Would he have more experience than Obama?
He then matriculated at DePauw University, where he received his B.A. degree in political science in 1969, and where he was a member of the fraternity Delta Kappa Epsilon. After receiving his degree, joined the Indiana Army National Guard and served from 1969–1975, attaining the rank of Sergeant. While serving in the Guard, he earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in 1974 at Indiana University School of Law Indianapolis. In 1976, was elected to the U.S. Congress from Indiana's Fourth Congressional District, defeating eight-term incumbent Democrat J. Edward Roush. He won reelection in 1978 by the greatest percentage margin ever achieved to that date in the northeast Indiana district. In 1980, at age 33, became the youngest person ever elected to the U.S. Senate from the state of Indiana, defeating three-term incumbent Democrat Birch Bayh. I live in Indiana, and to me we dress the same as anyone else. We have the same stores, like Old Navy, Gap, Kohls, etc.

2
Well we are kind of like most general american teens, we aren't completely out of the norm or anything. Portions here in southern Indiana have tones of scene kids. Right now that seems to be the in kind of thing, the ones here that try to go for the "redneck" look here get laughed at. I try not to because I would like to keep my character up but sometimes it is just so effing hard. It is hard to take someone serious in cowboy boots, putting on a fake accent, and a belt buckle. Also being "gangsta" is coming in a little bit. For the norm though, we keep it department store style. We keep it to the American Eagle, Rue 21, Aéro (generally middle school age though), a lot of girls here in this area like Charlotte Russe, Wet Seal, etc. Like I said though general American fashion though. I don't know if it is because I'm a senior in high school, but I think that we are dressing more mature than we really ever have before. Shoes converse are always big, some people do wear boots into a fashionable manner (risky and rare), boat shoes are really popular right now, girls love flats, and general tennis shoes/sneakers. Crocs and beaver creeks are probably the most hated shoes and no one thinks they are cute; however some people continue the wearing of beaver creeks because they are "comfie."

3
Well, the girls here are pretty trashy and mostly follow what eachother are doing. Makeup: Well, most of them are super-tan from tanning beds. Heavy, caked on, all around eyeliner. Clothing: Any form of jeans. Hollister or Abercrombie tees and polos. (Exciting, right?) Hoodies of the boring variety. Shoes: Muffins Flipflops Uggs Nike gym shoes I live there I hope I helped you I am not lying, all the girls here look exactly the same. I hope to move out of this pit soon. (:
