i will be starting school this fall and plan on being a full time student, i have two small children and sadly don't plan on working and can no longer stay with my mother and i do not understand how low income housing works so if you understand it please explain it me ! i,e i live in indianapolis indiana if that helps at all

It will not work for you anyway. Public housing can not be used as student housing. You have to WORK to have low income. A job is required unless you are disabled and collecting social security. You can use student grants and student loans to pay for housing while in school.

In Maryland to live in income based rent you have to be employed. Basically they take your gross pay, and how many dependants you have and that will determine how much rent you pay. If you are single I believe it's 30% of your monthly income. You need to check into Sectuin 8 Housing.
