I am interested in going to school for A RN. I have been looking at schools in the Indianapolis Indiana area and was wondering if Harrison College had a good RN program. It is a little more expensive them some but I been there before liked the school and like how the classrooms dont have very many people in them.Haas anyone went to Harrison College for the RN Program or know someone that did? And if so did you like it or dislike it and do you think that they prepare you enough for your boards and tests. Thanks

This consumer site has posts by former students (under one post but other students responded) about the school and how it had suddenly closed down in some locations leaving students in the lurch: http://www.complaintsboard.com and can type into search and then click on the post in the results. For accredited schools of nursing: http://www.nlnac.org General career info: http://www.bls.gov/oco and can search 'registered nurses', 'nursing and psychiatric aides' or such. For US colleges: http://www.utexas.edu/world/univ Please consider volunteering and/or job shadowing/observing those in the field. You may also want to get training to become a cna (certified nurse's aide) in order to find out if you feel at ease in that type of environment. (With training for cna, please forgo those private overpriced for-profit tech schools and instead consider the more affordable **county vo-tech school or community college** as long as the program is accredited within the industry.) This consumer site has posts by former students from various colleges about their experience: http://www.studentsreview.com and can search.

I am the Director of Program Development for Harrison College and think the nursing program we offer is very solid. I encourage you to contact our Indianapolis East campus location that offers the nursing program in Indianapolis and ask for more information and a tour of the facility. You can reach the campus by calling (317) 375-8000. The folks at the campus can also answer your questions about the rigor of the program and how it prepares you for the boards and tests.
