Perry Meridian Middle/Highschool in Indianapolis Indiana...?
is that a good school to send my daughter? i heard it was kind of ghetto. is it? and what else do i need to know about it? thanks!

Yes, it is kind of ghetto, and it consistently performs below the state average on the ISTEP, which all students must pass to qualify for graduation. It and Southport High School (which are the two high schools in Perry Township) are schools you definitely want to avoid. If possible, send her to North Central or to a school in Fishers or Carmel. I know these are on the exact opposite end of the Indianapolis area, but their schools are so much better in all aspects. The school board in Perry Township is also a joke; at least, it was a couple of years ago when I last paid attention to it. To see state performance data for PMHS, click on the link in my source. By the way, both SHS and PMHS are in danger of becoming chartered schools because of their poor performance.

little ghetto, very poor performing school. I would try Center Grove schools to the south.

It is very ghetto, and very low performing. The best schools are Carmel, Fishers, and Center Grove.
