Is it a good place to live? No crime, good population? Schools? Job Opportunities? Thanks PS: Thinking about moving to Indianapolis and figured out that price are low and the area looks good (on google map at least :) More precisely: W 34th and Allison Avenue? I understand that some do not want to live there. But is it at least a safe neighborhood? More families based neighborhood? Thanks

Eagledale is located just north of IMS on Georgetown Road. I've driven that area several times a month (we use Georgetown Rd to get to 38th street to go shopping on weekends). I can honestly say that I would NOT live there. That entire area has gone down hill in the last 4 yrs. Some houses have junk cars in the front yard, which is a small front yard. Some houses have fences that are not properly taken care of, or they do not mow around them so the weeds/grass is taller then the fence. House prices are low there because the neighbor hood isn't that great. You also need to remember that when you look up places on Google maps...the maps isn't current.

I grew up in speedway just south of eagle dale area. It has changed a lot since I have been out of there. It is a mixed neighborhood with Indianapolis Public schools. I do have Friends that live there and some have lived there all their lives and do not have troubles, so I guess if you like smaller yards and homes closer together it is OK for the most part. They do have their share of crime but Indy has that pretty much anywhere. You may want to try places like Brownsburg, west of indy. Maybe even speedway as well of you can afford it. Good Luck:)
