What's a great photography school?
In Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, or Illinois. Preferably only 2-4 hours from Indianapolis and preferably in/near a city that gets a lot of major concerts rolling through (music is my love, I can't go to a school away from live music)

Hands down, NYIP - New York Institute of Photography. They have a remote learning course that is two years long and absolutely amazing. I have met so many amazing photographers that have been through their course and I'm proud to be a part of the NYIP family. Unlike most, its not online. They send you course materials and you mail back assignments for a real prof. to critique and send back. The one on one critique of your photos is worth the price alone.

HOW can i tell if this graduate school is a "for profit university"?
Im picking schools from SIOP for I/O psych. I have a list but im partially suspious as to which are accreditted, or/and which are for profit universities. I want ligit. na mean? :P Heres my list: University of Central Florida ,University of New Haven ,Radford University,Applaichian State University University of Nebraska-Omaha , Minnesota State University,George Mason University University of West Florida ,Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis ,University of Akron ,Springfeild college , University of North Carolina Charlotte University of Tennessee at Chattanooga ,University of Oklahoma , Emporia State University , Missouri State University

Online high school? I'm going to drop regular high school, and need fast help?!?
Online high school? I'm going to drop regular high school, and need fast help?!?
I'm going to stop regular high school, and I'm going to go into online classes. I really don't care how it happens, as long as it does. I'm in southern Indiana, and I'm 16. My high school hasn't been working out with me, and I've just wanted to set myself apart, and do classes over the summer, catch up on classes, etc. Can you enroll midyear, and are there any schools where you can predominately do it online? Because the location I'm in the middle of nowhere for schools. The closest learning center is in Indianapolis, and that's 120 miles away. I'm needing a solution very fast, and I've been looking at all these different options, but I'm wondering if anybody here has any advice?

to be fair, I will use a Republican who has been labeled the weakest political person to run for white house. Dan Quayle After spending much of his youth in Arizona, he graduated from Huntington High School in Huntington, Indiana, in 1965. He then matriculated at DePauw University, where he received his B.A. degree in political science in 1969, and where he was a member of the fraternity Delta Kappa Epsilon. After receiving his degree, Quayle joined the Indiana Army National Guard and served from 1969รข€“1975, attaining the rank of Sergeant. How do I get started with EMT training classes?
How do I get started with EMT training classes?
I am in Indiana and have browsed IUPUI's website (Indianapolis). I am wanting to know what steps I need to take to become an EMT. If someone is or has been an EMT, please let me know what kind of school you had, how long it took, and how you got started. Thanks.

in california, you can take EMT classes at any junior college or at any state college. they also have accelerated/specialized programs that you can take but they end up being way more expensive. in ca you can enroll for the classes after youve become certified in CPR (CPR classes usually only take about a weekend to complete) good luck!

I am a current EMT-B in Maryland. Every state has it's own systems and methods of training. Maryland mandates you have an affiliation with a Fire Department or other Company that has a approved medical director. Then you have to take a course that is either is run by county or by fire dept academy classes. In MD the class is about 130 hours. and your certification last for 3 years. You have to take continuing ED classes that equal 24 hours to get re certified. Indiana will have different laws that will enable you to obtain the certification. Just a thought, I would go for a Nationally Registered certification. This will allow you to go any where and practice. Most states do not recognize other states certifications. Good luck remember to study!

Arizona, the state I am certified in, requires current TB testing, fingerprints, English 101, 18+ years of age, and some other formalities. The best place to take EMT classes, in my opinion, are Community colleges (Junior colleges). There it is cheap, and you earn college credits. 4 hours a day, two days a week, for 16 weeks was the length of my class. Also, you have two out-of-class requirements, a ride-a-long with a fire department, and a shift in an ER. At the end of the class you take 2 separate tests. First you State certification through the DHS and the second is your national (NREMT). That's the easy part. The tough part, in this day and age, is getting hired.

ok i got kicked out of school but i want to go to college?
ok i got kicked out of school but i want to go to college?
i got moved from the south suburbs by chicago in illnois so i rebelled over here in indiana and stopped going to school (h.s) idk why i was a dumb ass now my consequences are bad low gpa alternative school in gary and might not graduate on time... the thing is im actually really smart when im at school i excel at reading and comp. and i want to go to college my teacher said i better get a really good sat score...im scared idk where to apply people tell me to start at purdue in hammond to get to level? but what does that mean i want to move to indianapolis help!!!!

you can still go to college, just get a 25 on your ACT and get into Purdue Lafayette

Put forth all of the effort that you can in the time that you have left in school. Study hard for your SAT/ACT. Participate in extracurricular activities to beef up your application. If as your teacher says, you do need to get to level, you could always start out at Ivy Tech (the downtown campus is actually pretty big) to get your prerequisites out of the way and then transfer to the 4 year college of your choice. Good luck :)
